General Instruction:
Examination Fee (Non Refundable):
(a) For UR/OBC candidates (i) For posts in Grade Rs. 3050-4590/- Rs. 40/- (ii) For all other
Higher Grade Posts Rs. 60/- (b) For SC/ST/ES/PH candidates: Nil. The examination fee is
non-refundable. The examination fee should be paid in the form of Crossed Demand Draft from any
Nationalised Bank or Indian Postal Order, drawn in favour of " Assistant Secretary, railway
recruitment Board, Ahmedabad " payable at Ahmedabad. The candidates should write their Name,
Address, Category Number and Employment Notice on the reverse of the Demand Draft/Postal Order.
Validity of Demand Draft should be six months.
How to Apply:
1.Candidate should carefully read the instructions for filling up application form. Application
(s) shall be made on
good quality paper size of 30 cms. x 21 cms (A/4 Size) (80GSM Bond Paper), using ONE SIDE ONLY
and
should be in conformity with the format given in this Notice. Candidates are advised to ensure
that the
application is legible, written in their own handwriting (English/Hindi) on only one side of the
paper, dated and
signed. The candidate should affix his/her normal signature in the application form .
(Applications
with signature in short form/capital letters/spaced out letters will be treated as invalid.)
2. Photographs: One recent passport size black and white photograph with clear front view of the
candidate in
normal attire without cap/sunglasses/wigs (not earlier than one month of the date of application)
should be pasted
in the application in the space provided. One identical extra copy of the photograph firmly
stitched to the
Application Form indicating candidates name and category No. applied for, on the reverse of each
photograph.
Candidates may note that the RRB may reject a candidate at any stage for pasting old/unclear
photograph on
the Application Form and for any significant variation between photograph pasted in the
application and the
actual physical appearance of the candidate.
3. Only one candidate's single application should be sent in one cover. Covers with more than one
application
will be summarily rejected.
4. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one category should send seperate postal order/DD
for the
prescribed value as well as a separate set of enclousres as required for each category in
seperate cover.
5. The cover (envelope) should be clearly superscribed in bold capitals 'APPLICATION FOR THE POST
OF (Name of Post) CATEGORY No._____, Employment Notice No.______If the post and category number
is not indicated on the top of the envelope containing application, the same will not be
entertained and treated as rejected.
6. The candidates should affix their Left Hand Thumb impression in the space provided in the
Application Form.
The impression should be clear and complete.9.0 ENCLOSURES:-
The following enclosures should be attached along with the application:-
(a) Crossed IPO/DD for the amount as prescribed in para 7 should be firmly tied/annexed on top of
the Application
form mentioning their Nos., date of issue etc. in the appropriate column in the Application Form.
(b) Attested Xerox copy of Caste certificate in the prescribed format as per the annexure-I from
competent
authorities not below the rank of Tahsildar in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe
candidates. The
certificate should necessarily contain religion, caste and bear the seal of the issuing
authority.
(c) Attested Xerox copy of Community certificate in the prescribed format as per the annexure-II,
from competent
authority not below the rank of Tahsildar in case of OBC candidate. The certificate should not be
more than one
year old and must contain clause relating to creamy layer invariably.
(d) Photostat of both sides of certificate will be required.
(e) Vision certificate (as per Annex.III)
